Cannabidiol has been studied time and time again to show its potential health benefits. And while we have covered plenty of the great things CBD has been shown to do, side effects are also possible with certain conditions.
Of course, we cannot go over the side effects that are a result of combined use of CBD and other drugs. CBD has been shown to directly influence the effects of other medications, and this relationship is being studied every day. For now, we do know that CBD can change the dosage needed for other drugs, and the effective dose as well.
But for the common CBD enthusiast, certain side effects may come up. This can include:
- Appetite change
- Mood Change
If you are experiencing these side effects following the use of CBD, then chances are you have not found your suitable dosage yet. On the other hand, if you are indeed using other medications, contact your physician regarding what you should do.
CBD can influence metabolism as well as appetite. While some studies show that it can help lose weight, this change in appetite change may not be welcomed, especially if diarrhea is a cause.
Studies have also shown that higher doses of CBD can induce sleep, and give more sustainable, uninterrupted sleep. This process can change our sleeping patterns, and depending on the reliance for it, drowsiness may occur.
What can you do?
New things are being discovered daily about CBD, and further research efforts are being taken to explore the side effects of CBD. First and foremost, consider how much CBD you have been using in order to help your certain ailment. If you are using other medications, this is a big indicator of your issues. Talk to your physician first.
Taking a break from using CBD could also help with some of these side effects, and reducing use altogether is an ideal start.
